What Does a Custom Website Look Like for an Engineering Company? A Dunham Engineering Case Study
What does a custom website look like for an engineering company? It has to do something most small business sites do not: explain technical, high-stakes services (inspections, compliance, engineering standards) in a way that builds trust with buyers who are evaluating your credibility before they ever pick up the phone. That is exactly what we set out to do with the new site we built for Dunham Engineering.
Who is Dunham Engineering?
Founded in 1992 and based in Texas, Dunham Engineering specializes in storage tank inspection and design, corrosion engineering, water and wastewater facility support, and fuel and chemical tank services. Their team pairs engineers with inspectors to support a project from concept through startup, keeping every job on track for regulatory compliance, structural integrity, and long-term value. As their business grew, they needed a website that reflected that expertise instead of undercutting it.
Why do engineering and industrial businesses need a different approach to web design?
Most website builders and templates are built for restaurants and boutiques, not companies whose customers need to verify licensing, project history, and technical capability before making a decision. A generic template cannot do that job. We build fully custom sites so the structure, the content, and the credibility signals are shaped around what your specific customers actually need to see. It is the same reason we never use Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress: control over the details matters more when the stakes are higher.
What did we build for Dunham Engineering?
A clean, professional website that presents their services clearly, establishes their 30-plus years of experience, and makes it easy for a prospective client or partner to understand exactly what they do and why it matters. No templates, no filler, built the same way we build every site: around the real business behind it.
Do you only build for the horse industry?
No. While a lot of our roots are in the equine world, we build for businesses in every industry, from ranches and associations to engineering firms like Dunham. If your business has real expertise to show off, we know how to build a site that proves it. See more of our work on our portfolio page.
